Hey, I wrote a small poem that I thought I would put up on here.... a little meat for those who might read this actually looking for poetry!! I hope you enjoy.................................
Writer, Poet, Liar
I dream of famine,
Though I’ve never known a day of hunger
I write of lust,
But I only covet necessity
I speak of death,
Yet I’ve never felt a blade full to the hilt of flesh
No, my crime is none of these,
But of innocence lost within the wake

Final version...The Sneeze Unsavored
Ok, I don't know when it will be up on the buses, and I don't know when the website will even update it, but I thought I would contribute my finalized version of "The Sneeze Unsavored" for this Flippant Friday. I think it's fun, and that's what Fridays should be all about. After all, it's the weekend already, and you know you're not really doing work!!
Here you go, enjoy!!
The Sneeze Unsavored
by M. Thompson
Poised, tenaciously hunched over
Waiting for blast-off like an intrepid astronaut;
The anticipation, that creeping tickle
Through the nasal cavity imploring action;
Bracing, rapidly inhaling fuel
To spread noxious bodies into space
… …
Stupefied, but still hovering
When is it just going to happen?
Frustrated, and tense
Don’t tell me it’s not coming!
Exasperated, unresolved
Argh, not again…
No climax, no soothing relief,
Only a dull, mocking throb in its place
Here you go, enjoy!!

A Little Song, A Little Dance,...
"A little song, a little dance, a little Seltzer down your pants"
Sometimes it's the greatest little bits that are the best. I pulled that one from a dedication on "Modern Family," a great show to watch.
Well, I have another preliminary poem for you called Lists:
Lists
Reasons Why I Work Here:
1) I need money.
2) I have bills to pay; thus see number one.
3) I cannot find another job.
4) For the jobs that are out there, I do not have the proscribed amount of years experience, exact match in degree, and I do not know anyone within the company to look past the buzz words and see the actual talent in me.
5) I am not rich beyond care and do not have a sugar momma.
Pleasant Alternatives to Current Situation:
1) Not work here.
2) Have a job with a real career path.
3) Have a job where I can expect to grow and be challenged.
4) Have a job with some reasonable amount of security or knowledge of termination date.
5) Work in an environment that inspires communication, not attention to a blinking cursor.
6) Win/Inherit a ridiculous amount of money.
Things I Would Do with a Ridiculous Amount of Money:
1) Make a money sandwich and eat it all down until my crap turned green.
2) Once I passed all of that, finally call in to say “I quit” à la Scarface in Half Baked.
3) Put a urinal in my bathroom.
4) Start a foundation for out-of-work clowns and circus members.
5) Work towards the dream of world peace, and smile, but with not too many teeth showing.

A quick something...
I'll be honest, this is something I whipped up. It's been a busy day and I haven't had the time to really spend on writing a poem out. I was hoping to put in an old one, but I didn't have any on hand. So, if you find faults, or are disappointed, please be kind :)
Little
Iridescent, it’s open to the fates
Pause, slow down, catch it in your hand
Reflect, look, it waits your command
Though but small, its power never abates…
Through struggle, it will be your constant guide
In the day, it outshines the light
And quell all the waves in the night
It will pull you as the moon does the tide
Yet it cannot live where one is so blind
In heart, and is futile against foes
When shut out and shuttered from those
Whose spirit is separated from mind
These are the thoughts to which I hold so dear
So as not to lead a life of wretch’d fear
Little
Iridescent, it’s open to the fates
Pause, slow down, catch it in your hand
Reflect, look, it waits your command
Though but small, its power never abates…
Through struggle, it will be your constant guide
In the day, it outshines the light
And quell all the waves in the night
It will pull you as the moon does the tide
Yet it cannot live where one is so blind
In heart, and is futile against foes
When shut out and shuttered from those

These are the thoughts to which I hold so dear
So as not to lead a life of wretch’d fear

The Sneeze Unsavored
It's a good thing that I have a whole bunch backed up because I almost didn't even get one posted today! What a terrible way to start out. Anyway, hope you enjoy this one...
The Sneeze Unsavored
Poised, tenaciously hunched over
I wait for blast-off like some intrepid astronaut
The anticipation, the creeping tickle
Spreading through my nasal cavity implores immediate action
Bracing, rapidly inhaling
The fuel to spread those noxious bodies at amazing speeds into space
… …
Stupefied, but still hovering
The moment must surely be upon me
Frustrated, and tense
When the hell is it just going to happen?
Exasperated, and unresolved
A dull throb indicates no glorious climax, no soothing relief – and a glorious moment wasted
How damn annoying.

New Beginning
For this blog, there is nothing much to it. I have a desire to let the world see my poetry, whether it be silly, sincere, or simply not good. I write a lot and never show it to anyone, and I think it is time I stop. I hope those who read will enjoy, and if not be honest. Honesty is the most important goal you can achieve... are you striving for it?
The set-up will be as follows: one poeme, big, small or what-have-you, for each weekday. Simple, non? I wish to open myself up, but not to people who steal ideas. Please don't steal my ideas. I won't be able to track you, and by the time if I ever were to, it would be inconsequential. So, in the name of honesty about self and purpose in life I ask that if you like the ideas seen here, send people to it, don't take it as your own.
Finally, since this is about poetry, and it is the first entry, the first poem is entitled New Beginning
New Beginning
A new beginning, a new day, a new you
The person who you thought you knew
The one who’s mirror image you looked to
Will die, wilt, wither, and be made anew
Why wait wondering what to do for that old who
When there is nothing to prove to anywho but you
